What’s the deal with Ezekiel Bread? Why do you keep hearing about it? Is it actually any better for you?
Quite simply. Yes. Yes it is.
Ezekiel Bread is not only whole grain it’s sprouted whole grain. I tend to go on and on about sprouting, whether it’s posting on here or in my IG stories however it’s with good reason…sprouting and the subsequent nutrition benefits are something I truly believe make a huge difference to our digestive and overall health.
Sprouting is simply the natural process of seeds germinating and becoming a plant after contact with water. Sprouted bread, such as Ezekiel, is therefore much more nutrient dense and because the sprouting process breaks down enzyme inhibitors there is naturally less gluten and it is easier to digest.
This translates to lower digestive inflammation and increased nutrient absorption from your bread and whatever you are pairing it with! Win/Win?!
